I'm looking for a relatively cheap sat-nav with UK maps but I need one that's reliable. I'm sitting my driving test soon and I just want one that can keep me right when I start driving on my own

thanks x*x

  1. We use a Tom tom.  It was recommended by either Which or Which motoring, I believe.

  2. i have two tomtoms - one for the bike and one for the car. they are great, but remember, you still have to drive. sometimes, road layouts/modifications take place after the mapping has been done, so tomtom may give false directions. this does not happen very often, but its worth thinking about. anyway, if you do take a wrong turn, dont worry...tomtom will recalculate in a blink of an eye and get you back on the right  path, er, road!

  3. tom tom is the best!

  4. I use Aytobe,, its very good and easy to use..

    http://www.aytobe.com/index.html.

    hope it helps

  5. tom tom

  6. The best sat nav to get for the UK is called an Ordance Survey Map.  Sat Navs are fine if you have to use them and only on the main highways, go onto B roads or lower, into towns and they are quite useless sometimes and give incorrect data, stick to a normal road map and common sense.
