What's the best side dish to go with butter chicken?

And what is the name of butter chicken in Hindi?

Is mango lassi typically served as a dessert or with the meal?

And what is the best chutney to use with potato or beef samosas? (apologies to the vegetarians!)

I've collected some tasty recipes for all of them except chutneys. So now I want an Indian dinner tonight :-P (which DH LOVES, like me!) and put those recipes together. Thanks in advance!

I think some good plain yogurt brings out the flavor in every Indian dish.  Have Raita, if you can make it.  

I think butter chicken in Hindi is something like murgh makhni.  not quite sure, though, but even in India they call it butter chicken.

Best side dish to go with butter chicken? Come on man.. butter chicken by itself is a side dish.. Bread based or rice based main dish will go fine with it.. Some naan or romali roti or some Kashmiri pulau would go fine with it..

Mango lassi is optional drink based dessert.. not typically served though.. as considered in restaurants or even home..

Yoghurt is considered typically as a cooling down food in Indian palates..

Pudina Chutney would be the right choice to go with your potato or beef samosas.. First time hearing beef samosa.. lol

Indians normally dont eat beef/pork.. sounds pretty strange..

i would say some rice or  some chicken flavored cous cous served under the chicken

Rice or Pulao with Butter chicken - side dish : crispy fries both veg or non veg.

Rote or Nun with Butter chicken - side dish : Chicken chanp or Mutton kasha.

Hindi of Butter chicken is Murgh Makhani.

Mango lassi - is a welcome drink. It never served with lunch or dinner. It may be served as desert also but not much conventional.

Pudina chatni or Coriender sauce is best suitable with the samosas.
