  2. Most people will say Squaw Valley, but just because they have heard of it. Each has its unique qualities:

    Squaw and Heavenly - huge resorts with tons of advanced runs

    Homewood and Diamond Peak - amazing views of Tahoe

    Alpine and Northstar - very long runs, great intermediate runs

    Boreal - cheap and a great park

    Mt. Rose - close to Reno, very steep in the 'Chutes'
