One that's easy-to-use and not audacity

  1. Is there something wrong with audacity?

    You could use Sound Editor.exe which comes with Microsoft Windows, but it seems to have a limit of 60 seconds of recording time before you have to hit the record button again.

    Sound Editor is smile, maybe too simple.

    You could use Quicktime, but although the QuickTime Player.exe is free it only plays sounds, to record sounds, you'd have to upgrade to QuickTime Pro.exe


  2. SoundForge by Sony is the best.

    It's also expensive, but you didn't say 'cheap', you said best.
