Do not be afraid of the uglies brand name. These suits are among the best for practice, competition, with excellent prices. 2-piece available, but 1-piece is what you should be looking for.

i too had to swim in PE.

i'm also on my high school swim team.

we use regular one pieces made of polyester. they last long and aren't too expensive. this all depends how much you're going to swim too. when we swim three and a half hours a day on the team i use speedo, TYR, and all those name brands, because they are the most durable.

1 piece. A suit made with polyester lasts the longest, though might be a little bit more expensive, but they last way way longer.
