They seem to be guided by human decency rather than religion that can and often is manipulated by fraudulent leaders. The Catholic church during the n**i era, the evangelicals with their w***e mongering and income tax evading, greedy pastors, merely to mention two that come to mind. Religion does not bring peace, it cannot and has not done so throughout history. It is almost always used to create divisions that seek to recruit new soldiers in a holy war (Bush's last election).
