Arrive in style up the Clyde on the Waverley Steamer, go for a swim in its well above average swimming pool, eat at the KFC across the road, wander through the 70's shopping centre, pausing to notice how they ripped the heart of the town out to put all that concrete in. Then while waiting for the train back to Glasgow note the arches and other evidence of what a large and impressive railway station it must have been in its heyday before the services were scaled down.
