What's the best thing to have if Zombies Attack!!!!!Easy 10 points!!!

Question

Which weapon would you choose if the world was overridden with millions of zombies. Also the zombies are not super zombies like from the resident evil movies, but are regular slow zombies from the movie night of the living dead. You may only choose from this weapon list.

1)a machete/any other sword(please list what type, and why)

2)Any type of gun(list what type and why)

3)Aluminum baseball bat

4)Any type of bow(list what type/ and why)

5)Knives/daggers(list what type and why)

6)An ordinary woodchopping axe/hatchet

7)A spear

1 - A Samurai sword.    

Least effort slicing heads off the undead & it doesn't run out of bullets/arrows.

However my prefered weapon would be Brandon Frasier.

An aluminum bat, because you would never run out of ammo, it wouldn't splinter like a wooden bat and possibly snap, its long enough to where you don't have to get too close to the zombies to kill them, it would totally be a stress reliever, and where as an ax or hatchet might get stuck in the skull, the bat just smashes their brains so you won't have to worry about them getting back up while you are walking away from them. I would make a holster for my trusty bat and name it bone crusher.

A bow, you can't get too close to zombies. Preferably a hunting bow with exploding rounds. That way they won't get back up ;)

So a sword has the bonus of being sharp all along the edge and lighter/better balanced than an axe but it lacks a critical characteristic: being awesome for killing zombies.

TV and video games have led me to understand that the point of fighting zombies is not to survive yourself, it's to inflict as much punishment as possible with semi-realistic sound effects.

You want that sort of dull squish/crunch. A sword is nice and all but it's never that wonderful combination of blunt and heavy that you get from an axe that just happens to be lying around in the top drawer in the old house. Cause that's the kind of place you're going to find a sweet zombie killin' axe.

If you have to take a more reasonable approach then a shot gun that holds as few bullets as possible. A) you get that dull sound again B) blood goes everywhere (the second point of fighting zombies) C) with fewer shells you get more running, hiding and heavy breathing.

Final point. Axes are awesome and no one wants to watch a zombie sniper.

An AK-47 or it's variant. A gun is best because it keeps best distance, which is the best idea in case the zombies spread through a simple bite or scratch. The AK variants are also best because they can shoot a wide variety of ammo and never jam. It's so simple a child can use it and in some places, they do. Best gun to have by far for any apocalypse.

Also, any melee weapon requires strength and will quickly wear you out using it. Even a weak person can point and shoot a gun without getting tired.

You will need an automatic shotgun with maximum shell capacity. You will not have time to "pump" the shells as with a regular shotgun. You will need repeating firing ability and something that can be reloaded quickly.

Nothing else will work. You must destroy the brain completely, Bullets will not do this, so forget pistols and machine guns. It's just too risky. Yuo have to drop them with one shot or your finished. You will not get a second chance.

You need to use shotgun slugs, not pellets or buckshot. You're not hunting ducks. You killing multiple zombies in close quarters.

Go with the laser! If we have advanced technology, are we just going to ignore it? Zombies freak me out, and I don't want to get accidentally bitten, so I'd use a laser. Its a clean, mean, fighting machine! With surgical precision, you can wipe them zombies out in one go, since the laser penetrates several layers. Plus, there'd be less chance of infection = survival. With any of the other weapons, there's always a chance of contracting ZTD's, or zombie transmitted diseases via the mucous membranes, open cuts, etc...So yeah, I'd chose the laser. P.S. thinking outside the box should be allowed, especially in your imagination! =P

A spear but instead of throwing it, I'd use it like a bat. A spear is better than a bat because it cuts, but if that's not an option, then Aluminum baseball bat or a machete if it's long enough.

The guns will eventually run out of ammunition. Bows run out of arrows and are not practical. Knives and daggers and are too short. Swords are difficult to maneuver and easy to cut yourself with. Axes and hatches are a pretty good option if you're buff but I'm pretty skinny and weak. I probably couldn't even lift them above my waist.

Too bad you can only select from that list. You'd be able to bore them dead. =P
