What's the best thing to see in Italy?

I'm cruising around Italy starting in mid June, and stopping at ~10 ports all around the boot and even into Croatia.

If there was one thing not to miss, what would it be?

All their wonderful food set right in front off you.  The Italians love to have nice, long, and big meals.  ENDULGE!!  Just be sure to walk it off looking at all of the cathedrals, etc.

island sardegna.

in my opinion if you are taking cruise then you must visit this island and also near by small islands i.e.madleana and caparera.when u visit these islands then remember me that i was not wrong.

the Vatican city. It's not enough just one day but it's a good start!

Fano (my hometown). It's a small city on the Adriatic Sea. If you're taking the ferry from Ancona to go to Croatia you won't be very far. We have a wonderful beach and great places to eat.

Well of course, you can't come to Italy and not visit Rome and Florence.

Italy isn't just about pasta, pizza and mafia you know?!!

You have to experience the culture and get to know the people. Enjoy your trip around the boot!

definately not the italians. against the general belief that they are great in bed, I would say that they are just great in bragging!! last summer's vacation in italy was culturally great...but sexually real lousy...italians just cannot hold it any longer then 5 to 6 minutes.

the pizza and wine was good..and the people otherwise friendly..
