spring time its wonderful(breezy,warm tropical weather), no hurricane season and its not as hot as the summer, in winter time the beaches are not quite enjoyable as the spring; also the airline tickets are cheaper in spring season.

Officially the hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30.   So I guess you could start by avoiding that time frame.

On the other hand, you might find prices good in Sept and Oct just for that reason
