I live in the Houston Texas area and would like to have a sprinkler system installed. Is it better to do this in the Spring or does it really not make a difference?

  1. Personally I would do it in the fall when it will have the least impact on your vegetation.  If you do it in the spring and something goes haywire with your new system (leaks etc) your vegetation will pay the price

  2. It does actually make a difference when you do it, doing it in late spring is best as you will be watering the grass.  After the installers cut your grass to install the pipe you must water it or you will have yellow dead lines all throughout your yard.  And since most people don't water once September comes around it makes it better to have it done in the spring.

  3. Whenever it is not too hot to work outside.

  4. It won't really make a difference, but do it when the ground is soft.
