What's the best time to talk to my mom about getting a skateboard?

I want to sit down and talk to her about it but I don't want to do it at the wrong time. So that theres a higher change of her saying yes.

Any idea when?

Some time after you've shown her (why not the father, too?) how responsible you are, with whom you'll be hanging out, and your knowledge of the safety rules of skateboarding!  Wear a helmet!
