  1. First of all, no one has flawless skin. Some people have it better than others, but thats just genes and stuff. Go to www.freewebs .com/reelbeauty11 for skin and beauty tips. I know its for young girls, but it works for anyone!

I know some people who have tried ProActive and it worked, but I also know some others who have tried it and it made it worse :( I know some who have put rubbing alchol on their skin or peroxcide to dry up the pimples. It also kills bacteria :) . Also, try going to a dermotoligist, or ask your regular doctor. Often times the regular doctor, who knows more about your med. history and whatnot can help you more than a dermatologist.

are you a vegetarian? That might have something to do with it. Its worth checking into.

Try dabbing toothpaste or honey on your zits before you go to bed - works wonders.

Overall, remember that beauty counts more on the inside than on the outside, and your true friends will love you for you, and not your skin.

Oh, and try a different kind of foundation, if you wear it. Try to use a kind with lots of water in it. It looks great and doesn't clog pores half as bad. And check your habits - do you prop your chin up a lot with your hands? That might cause the acne as well. Look for the cause, as well as the cure.

  2. A lot of prescripton treatments for acne contain retinol which is a form of vitamin A.  These contain a strong dose so they actually work but you can only get them from your doctor.  There are other creams on the market - Boots Protect & Perfect serum contains some retinol - it was in the news a few months ago feted as a wonder anti age cream but the retinol may help your acne.

  3. Why doesn't Proactiv work? Did you use it like it says on the bottle? I almost didn't stick with it either! When I first started it, my face reacted very harshly! It turned very red, it hurt, it burned, it was horrible and I thought it was doing more harm than good. But then after about a week and a half (I kept using it) my face started to clear up and it got adjusted to the Proactive and ever since then I've had a clear face. If you haven't given Proactiv a real try I would recommend you do. I never wanted to try it because I don't buy stuff that advertises like they do on TV, but my mom bought me some and I tried it and it's the only thing that worked. Good luck!

  4. I would was your face gently with a natural soap, rinse with cool water - pat dry, not rub, and use witch hazel for your astringent.

You need to have a good diet of fruit & veg and also keep good bacteria in your system. Get yourself some Acidophilus, 5 billion & milk free with FOS and start using this every day, it will help you. Good luck

  5. u should go to a dermotologist. he will give u a prescription for something that will work for your type of skin. i didnt want to go to a dermotologist at first but then i did & my skins lookin better. good luck!

  6. From what my dermatologist told me, keep washing your face(around 2-3 times a day). i would also recommend staying away from dark sodas such as coke and Pepsi cuz i heard that may cause outbreaks too.
