What's the best university to attend if I were pursuing a degree in archaeology?

I have always been fascinated with the ancient Greek culture and wish to know if there are many opportunities avaliable for an archeologist

  2. Probably just about any university offering a major in archaeology. Just look at the faculty of schools you are considering and seeing where their areas of speciality are. If you have anyone who focuses on the Mediterranean, you'll be in good shape. If you go to a school that does an exchange with a Greek university... that might even be better. It might also be a good idea to either double major or minor in Classics in addition to archaeology, which would help you gain a lot of knowledge regarding ancient Greece.

    There are also probably a lot of programs out there that you could do just for the summer to do time at field sites in Greece as well.

    But as an undergraduate, you might just want to go to the most prestigious university you can get into/afford and do well in your classes. If you apply to graduate school, then you might want to look at programs more in depth to see what their areas of focus are.
