Question:

What's the best video editing software?

I have a JVC digital camcorder, and am interested in software that can do a few different things.

1.) I would like it to be able to edit the video off my video camera so I can make safety videos for work (as a manager, it falls to me).

2.) I'm a bit interested in music videos. Something where I can take bits and pieces off multiple DVDs, edit them and put them all together into one video, add music, sound, video effects, etc.

Price isn't really an issue (work will pay for it) up to a point. I mean, I can't go out and buy a $500 program and expect them to pay for it. Everything would probably be covered up to $150 or so.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

  1. Pinnacle has some good software to edit (www.pinnacle.com) what you need it for. Just be careful editing other artists videos into one that people might think is your work. Some artists are funny about tampering  with their work. But it is ok if it is just for your and some friends.

    Reasonably priced too.

  2. If you want any higher end S/W which has professional effects and non linear editing... Go for Adobe premiere Pro...

IF you want any simple tool then, Go for Intervideo WINDVD Creator....

Chekc this website... www.intervideo.com.... costs not more than 80$ max... :)

  3. You might consider Adobe Premier Elements. It is probably the best thing under 100$.

By the way, none of these programs will rip DVDs for you. You need to find a DVD ripper (handbrake is a good free one, google it).
