What's the best way of getting coffee stains off the plastic top of a coffee pot?

I have a Mr coffee machine which uses a plastic top on the coffee pot. The top is terrebly stained. I tried using bleach to no avail...any other ideas?

Try using vinegar.  Works great for the whole coffee maker.

Try Brake Cleaner from a car accessory shop. Spray lightly onto a cloth. Regards. UK
