Ya know.... in the morning????

We're going camping this weekend with the WHOLE family, just like we do every year, but this time we are bringing our 7 month old son.

We live in Washington... and our weather's been especially bad this year. But hopefully it'll be nice this weekend.

Anyway. I guess a lot of what gets into the tent is condensation, but is there any way to keep it dryer?

Oh... AND we're the only ones in our family using a tent.. everyone else has a camper. :(

  1. The fly sheet over the tent can help protect form cold air and moisture getting to the inside and causing some of the condensation. The best method is heat inside but this can be dangerous in a tent. leave a vent open to allow moisture to exit.

  2. I AM A 38 YEAR VETRAN OF CAMPING . THERE IS TENT WATERPROOFING AT WALMART IN THE SPORTING GOODS ISLE . YOU WILL HAVE TO SPRAY THE TENT PRIOR TO CAMPING FOR BEST RESULTS...

  3. Make sure to put the rain fly over and a tarp underneath.

  4. If the problem is mostly condensation, the the ventilation is not adequate. If it isn't raining, open up the window flaps more so that the humid air can escape. Make sure the top vents are not obstructed, if there are any.

Much of the humidity occurs simply from your breathing.

As for rain, standard waterproofing methods.

  5. Bigger tent....ground cover inside the tent.....
