What's the best way to apply liquid (felt-pen) liner?

Does anyone have any tricks or tips to putting on liquid eyeliner? I use the kind with a felt-tip type pen.

Apply it as close to your lash line as you can get, rest your elbow on a table to give you more stability and keep an eye make-up removal wipe nearby to shape it if you wobble or if you want it thinner in the corner etc.

put on mascara first and then just let the lquid liner kind of rest on your lashes
