  1. chicken liver! use an old panty hose to make it easier to stay on hook, if that doesn't work spray a little wd40 on it they can't resist

  2. I like cut bait with enough weight to get it to the bottom.... mackeral works great but if that isn't available - use any fish you catch from the place you are fishing....

  3. People will tell you liver, which does work well, but depending on where you live and the type of water (moving or pond) I would go with goldfish.  Hook them live then put your sinker about 18 inches above the bait and throw it out.  You also can use dough balls, corn, shrimp, shiners, but goldfish have always been my fav!

  4. What kind of person sprays WD-40 on a hook as bait?  You're polluting the water stupid!

REAL fish bait - minnows; chicken, fish, beef, pork parts; shrimp (double hook); sausage or hotdog coins (works for Northern Pike); frogs; fish eyes (be careful not to break them); miny marshmellows soaked in tuna juice; worms; bananna (Yes, this works!),

  5. Usually with dough balls.

  6. I like cut bait also. Shiners work well live or cut up, but almost any fish will do for cut bait. If you're fish where there is little or no current, just hook on your bait and toss it out. Where there is current add a weight to hold your bait in place. Keep your bait on the bottom and cast to the same location to keep the scent trail working in your favor. Tight lines!

  7. Last trip (8-15 to 8-16) I caught 8 fish 15 pounds or over I swear using big fat night crawlers bought from Wall-mart. Reason being catfish hit and hit hard on live bait none of that artificial c**p. Oh and I used deep sea roods with 80 pound test. They weren’t getting away this time, and I think that helped weed out the smaller fish, because the small ones could see the line and I’m sure the monster size ones could care less.

Channel catfish bark or rib it did you know.

Flat heads have teeth on them.

  8. cover up a treble hook with a stinky bait (dough or cut fish)

there's always the survival way... stick your hand into those holes in the water and hope that the creature doesnt have teeth!

    tight lines... or tight fingers???
