I use hide food and saddle soap. They hide food softens the leather and saddle soap cleans it. Also make sure you don't put alot of water on the saddle, it can make the leather become brittle.

I use leather cleaner and a clean rag. It works well. I use a toothbrush for creases and decorations on both my english and western saddle.
