The kind with a rubber backing. They're pretty flexible and I thought I might do a washer and dryer (low heat) on them. The top of one type is like a berber and the other is plush. They're about 2' X 3' or so.

  1. put in cold wash machine and then leeave them out to dry. try using a vacuum on the once in a while. make sure the material doesnt get ripped out tho!

  2. go buy the cheap *** carpet cleaner its this white powder, pour it over like crazzzzyyyyyy let it sit then use the vacum on its highest setting (so the brisles barly touch the floor) that should do it and it will smell so nicee

  3. That's how I'd do it, if they'll fit and are flexible enough to withstand the agitator... but then again, I have a bit of a policy regarding high maintenance *anything*.... If it can't live with me, well, then it can't live with me ;-)  ie. things that need 'cold wash, line dry' / 'hand wash only' / etc. I've found that most things will eventually slip past me and get put in with everything else, and if it's ruined, well good riddance. If it survives, even better! No more worries about it.

  4. Don't put them in the dryer.  Go ahead and throw them in the washer but hang them to dry.  The dryer can really s***w up that rubber backing and will basically wreck it.  The washer is fine, though.

  5. Def. washer and dryer, just like the rest of your clothes. Add a tiny hint of bleach to get your white parts of the rug even whiter.

  6. i wash mine in the washer all the time..

  7. washer and dryer wouldn't be the best idea... try washing them with hand... normal soap powder and water

  8. I always wash mine in the washer and then tumble dry them....

just do gentle cycle if ur worried about them washer...

but the will be fine i am sure!!!

  9. I put them in my front load washer (would not recommend top load) on delicate setting. Then I put them in the dryer on LOW HEAT. Make sure you us low heat if it has a rubber backing or it will peel off from the heat.

  10. I just run mine thru the washing machine all the time.  then dry them on low heat in the dryer.

  11. don't wash them!  this is very harsh on the carpet and will make it wear out quicker!

if you want to clean them, vacuum them and shake them out outside.   sun shine kills the mold too

  12. Regular washer and dryer.  I do it all the time and they come out great.

  13. you could use lizard pee which is extremely effective

  14. I would take it out side in hard floor like patio, then use power washer. Let it dry under the sun.

  15. Take it outside. Soak it with the hose. Leave it outside to dry.

  16. In washer, cold water, light detergent...dry over the clothes line ( in my garage).

  17. I shake mine outside and throw them in the washer and the dryer on low.

  18. Washer - on Delicate. Air Dry.When you put it in the dryer it will melt the rubber backing, plus fade the colors.

  19. Depends if you're willing to risk any amount of damage to them also  - tricky  :\

    Would a spot clean suffice?

    All the Best   :-)

  20. I throw mine in the washer and dryer, works great, comes out fine.

  21. I just throw them in the washer and dry them on low heat just like you said. Works great!!

  22. I have used Woolite in cold water on a delicate washer setting for years.  I think Woolite even has a a version available for dark colors.  This detergent truly retains  shape and color of the item. A very low or just air cycle in the dryer though because the rubber backing can cause a fire in your dryer.  You can start the drying process in the dryer and then finish drying on a rack.  I would not put the rugs outside because the sun will fade the color.
