i'm sorry, but the only way i know of is to kill the nasty little pests, as they don't listen to reason at all.

Shut down the whole house, block up every nook and cranny. It might work. apart from that you may have to kill

I had this issue in our kitchen a few years ago. I found the ant trail (long column kind of thing) and killed two of them and left the bodies on the road, as it were. Ants are very smart and they telegraph that news back to headquarters. They figure it out well enough that if there are bodies on the road, then perhaps this route is not a good one and they change their minds.
