  1. avoid it

  2. ban production- the root cause

    hang the slaesperson immediately

reunite the victims into the world.

  3. don't start  2 take them!!

  4. Many good programmed are out there already for addicts who want to become 'clean'.

The problem that needs to be tackled is the suppliers. The people at the top of this chain aren't often users themselves, they just enjoy a lifestyle at the misery of others. Their local dealers, 'runners' are usually addicts who do it in order to get their own supply. A significant amount of crime is drug related and this is where the goverment needs to get tough. It is becoming so prevalent that society is seeing it as the 'norm'.

    Education and longer, tougher sentencing.

  5. Unfortunately, the reasons people use drugs vary from individual to individual; from "recreational" use to involuntary addiction to pain killers.  There is no one strategy that encompasses everything.  But the key is in targeting the user, not the seller.

  6. There are so many aspects to this.  My approach is individual and designed according to the individual.  There are those curious ones who look for advise from experienced people and then there are those confused ones who need help steering themselves in what they have gotten themselves into and then there are those hard corps adventurers who get up the mountain and know how to get back down.  Each has a different approach to the subjectivity's of the addictive natures for each individual.  Some need advise resisting and some need help not resisting.  Each is different and each must face themselves and know what their reality is.  I don't hold any information back from anyone who seeks it but I don't help to those who wont help themselves.

  7. Wow, dude, that's FAR too complicated to put in an answer here.

  8. I would focus on the saying no.......And methadone program

  9. As being a experienced coach and trainer for student managers, I would go for the all time key to everything: Awareness and clarity.

People with an addiction deal with their drugs in an instinctive way. Just like you and I go out for groceries without thinking about it, they go out for drugs.

Once is becomes normal, addicts just simply don't think about it. Just like breathing or going to the toilet. People simply do what they need to do.

To counter this, I have several ideas. This works for managers, I just might help you on the way with drug addicts:

    - A diary for every step and choice the addicts make

    - A letter to themselves, why they want to stop. Stopping starts with a determination

    - Let them stop with their drugs and let them write down what they feel, think and experience. Especially their arguments to start using again. They can grab these notes the next time and see that's it not reason but the addicition talking to them.

Simply: clarity, awareness and concious living
