What's the best way to find investors for a small construction company?

I am looking for investors to help grow my construction company. I build high end luxury homes and would like to expand my company with more sales and management. Does anybody know of the best place to find these investors? And don't tell me a bank because there is a misunderstanding out there that banks loan money....lol

Network. It will take forever to accomplish through banks what you can do in raising money from friends, family, and aquaintences. There is always someone out there willing to invest for the right return. That may mean soliciting business owners all over your community. You surely aren't going to get immediate funding from some angel investor on the internet. Of course, there are always issues with borrowing from friends and family members, namely if you can't repay them.
