What's the best way to fix a leaky roof on a mobile home?

There's a leak in the bathroom ceiling. Would tar be the best to patch it with? How would my husband (a big guy) get up there to fix it without causing more damage? Any tips or suggestions appreciated.

Fiber roof coating will work if it is just the seams. For a larger hole something may have to be done before the roof coating is applied. Then you can hope that is will stop. I have seen cases when it would not work and the poor people after several coats of fiber roof coating had a spray on roof coating applied professionally that did the trick. My suggestion would be to find someone that dose mobile home repairs and have them look at it. If they want to apply a fiber roof coating make them give you a guaranty that it will fix it or they will come back out at no charge.

You don't say if it is a shingled roof or a metal flat roof? If it is metal you need to seal the seams with sealant and coat the roof with snow coating.

If it is a shingled roof  call someone to check it out and repair it- for safety for your husband .

Have him hoist you up onto the roof.

Get a five gallon bucket of fibered roof coating and hire someone to apply it for you.Will take care of your problems.directions are on the bucket. The temp outside must be high and on a clear day.
