What's the best way to get a book of poetry published?

I have a book of poetry with probably 70 poems in it. I've always been interested in trying to get in published. However, I have no idea about how to go about doing so. Could anyone help me.

you need try to publish in small magazines first. if you get many good pomes pubbed in many good pome magazines, big editor/publisher see work as good.

The previous responder offers good advice to you on this. Getting your work published in magazines, or e-zines is often the first step. However, there are other directions you could try. Locating a publisher or agent who will accept poetry is one. Lists of these can be found within the links I've provided below. Also, if simply getting your work out there is your goal, there are places such as Lulu that will allow you to self publish your work for little or no fee.
