  1. Step1Wash away as much of the food as possible, using cold water for eggs, chocolate and starch-based foods.

Step2Fill the pot with water. Add 1 to 2 tsp. dishwashing liquid and bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes, then cover the pot, turn off the heat and leave the pot to soak for 30 minutes.

Step3With a wooden spoon, scrape away as much of the burned food as possible. Rinse well.

Step4If burned areas still remain, cover them completely with a generous amount of baking soda. Drizzle in just enough water to create a thick paste, smearing the paste up the sides of the pot if needed. Set aside for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Step5Without rinsing the pot, add 3 parts water to 1 part distilled vinegar to cover the burned food by at least 2 inches (5 cm). Boil for 10 minutes and then leave overnight.

    Step6Repeat steps 2 through 5 as needed.

  2. Try using some powdered dishwasher soap mixed with hot water and let it sit for an hour or so.  It should wipe out easily.

  3. I have found if you put vinegar and plenty of salt, let it sit then scrub repeat as necessary it will help loosen the food. Hope this helps.

  4. if its food stuck to the INSIDE, simmer baking soda & a little water--then let it cool naturally....everything should just slide off.

if it's the OUTSIDE, there's a home remedy---ketsup?  or something---can't remember---I just use a metal coil sponge thing & ajax or tide powder or dawn liquid or whatever's handy to scrub it away.

  5. Leave it to soak in very hot water and laundry soda.  You could also use biological laundry powder or dishwasher powder.  Do not use any of these though if your pan is made of aluminium.

  6. you can use easy off oven cleaner. spray all over and let sit for an hour and clean with a scrub sponge or pad. rinse with plenty of water and wash as usual. you can clean your baking sheets the same way. best done when the pans are hot.

  7. cover the bottom of the pan with water add 2 tbsp of Cream of Tartar and bring to boil ,let it stand until cooled and this should loosen any burned food from he pan.l

  8. fill it with hot water and a bounce dryer  sheet and leave overnight. or hot water and dawn dishwashing liquid either one works like a charm
