What's the best way to get a red nail polish stain out of carpet?

My friend was an idiot and got a drop of nail polish on the carpet. I (stupidly) rubbed it in (it was kind of an accident) and then later used resolve to try and get it out. Now it's slightly bigger than penny sized, and pinkish. So, basically, it came out a little. How can I get it out all the way?

  1. hold a U V light over it for 4 hours and it will brake up, then use detergent

and a rag to clean it off.

NOTE: if the nail polish does not come off after you have left it under the light, heap carpet stain removal dust on top of it and leave it for 2 days minimum.
