It's actually NOT expensive to fly from Glasgow to Cornwall. My youngest daughter has just visited from the Lake District, she flew to Newquay from Manchester for just £30-00 return, and flew from Glasgow to Newquay in January for just £40-00 return. I'd say that's cheaper than driving these days!!!

It is expensive to fly to Cornwall but I think Exeter is the cheapest. There is an overnight bus from Buchanan Street to Cornwall and its a lot cheaper than flying, Virgin Trains also do it from Glasgow Central to Devon/Cornwall. Check the flights on Internet for prices.

By air - Glasgow airport to Newquay airport.  Or Plymouth.
