I have a France/Italy railpass and would like to take the train for Provence to Venice, however the itineraries I am turning up take an incredibly long time to go a relatively minimal distance. I am looking for a more clever way to make the trip.

  1. Yes, the distance does not look to far but there is a lot of traffic, stops along the coast and no long distance speed train. One of the fastest ways for sure is by car, especially at night time. But in your case I would try to get a flight from Venice to Marsielle.

    check for flights on:

  2. I would definately go for a flight. Myair.com offers flights form Venice to Marseille starting from € 19,99.

  3. Try checking out flights.  I know it costs a lot, considering you have a pass, but the time might be worth your while.
