What's the best way to get in shape for volleyball.?

  1. RUN YOUR *** OFF...we did more running then we do practicing


  2. playing beach always helps! work on jumping like jumping rope or setting up cones and jumping over them!! SQUATS!!  you need strong quads for volleyball so prbly mountain climbers etc.

  3. you need to lift weights to get strong and you need to run sprints... Volleyball players have to b quick. Also do cardio if u can and crunches will help

  4. run sprints

    do plyos (plyometrics)

    yoga

    walk

    jump training

    lift weights

    run on the treadmill

    run outside

    run stairs

    run bleachers at a local high school

    run the track at the local high school

    find an exercise buddy

  6. 1.  Head to toe, intensive, overall body stretching -  Flexible body really helps in volleyball.

    2.  Basic Strength Training - Squats, Calf raises,....

    3.  Power Training - Jump Squats, Olympic Lifting(Power Clean, ...)

    4.  Plyometrics - Box Jumps, Drop Jumps....etc.

  7. i would do weight lifting that works on your technique of when you land from jumping safely and it helps your vertical jump as well and your arms to get stronger. also jogging and running can help your legs  get strong and wall sits will really help your legs, i say do wall sits twice a day for 1 minuet and 30 seconds!. hope i could help! : )

  8. Here is what i do every year for about a month before volleyball starts.

    do these following steps

    1. lay down on your stomach

    2. Cont to 3 and get up and run 20 yards then dive like you are going for a ball, stop and do 5 push ups.

    3. Run back to where you started and repeat step 2

    4. Do this until you puke.

    5. Drink lots of water

    6. Make sure you are wearing shoes ankle braces, nee socks, spandex shorts, If you don't have ankle braces don't worry, just make sure you have spandex, and high socks so when you dive constantly you will still have skin on your legs.

    I am a boy and have been doing this every year before volleyball and trust me it helps so much
