There are tons of ways to kids involved with the outdoors. One thing you could do is have an outdoor party with a bunch of friends, it will get kids outside and let them fun with friends. Make sure you have lots of cool games, anything to do with water balloons and squirt guns are usually popular with kids.

Take them on hikes through the woods.  Teach them fishing and teach them about wildlife, clean water, judging the health of streams by picking up rocks and looking at the water bugs that attach themselves to the rocks.

Go tubing down a lazy river.  The views from the center of a river are totally different than from the banks.

Show children from birth how you relate to the natural environment. It should not be an 'educational program' just taught day to day as part of your every day life. Don't tell children what to do, show them by your good example.
