  1. Ethanol and biodiesel work pretty well.

  2. I have very fine and straight hair. This is what i do.

    1. Start with 1 day dirty hair, or at least shower the night before only, and just rinse your hair before blow drying.

    2. Apply your products as normal, accept keep them light on the roots to avoid looking greasy. I use Moose, a thickening treatment (Redkin has a great product line for fine hair. It is in a light green bottle.) and then hair spray - lots and lots of hair spray!

    3. Blow dry your hair with a curl brush!!! It is hard to learn how to do this at first, but it won't be long before you are  a pro at it. I section my hair, starting with the top layers working my way down to the bottom layers. I pin each small section up and it takes many pins, but it is needed. Then start with the bottom layers and blow dry them with your curl brush in one hand. Then work your way up to the top layers. Before blow drying each section, hair spray the section on both the upper and under side making sure the roots get sprayed too!  If you want lift, as I assume you have volume issues, then blow dry each section in the opposite direction at the roots. For example, if a portion is going ot fall to the left, blow dry the root area while pulling the portion to the right. Then continue to blow dry the rest of the hair down to the ends normally.

    4. Once you have you hair blow dried, it should now have a nice curl to it. If that is enough girl, then stop there and enjoy your hair! It is really important to blow dry the hair with a curl brush to keep the curl all day. Curling iron curls will fall, but a blow dried set hair will not. You can hit the ends with a curling iron now for more of a curl if you wish. Before curling it wiht an iron, hit with more hair spray - but don't drench it in spray. Make sure it is a mist and not too close to drench it. You don't want crunchy hair!!!

    5. If all that doesn't work, you can also use a heat activated curling serum. I used that during my wedding and it worked wonderfully. I think it the name was some thing like "Therma" and you can buy it in any store.

The hair spray you use at the roots will help to keep your "one day dirty hair" from looking dirty. So don't be afraid to add extra hair spray to the roots. The moose and the serums will cause a greasy look, so don't over use them at the roots.... Then body and ends of the hair are normally dryer so you can use more with those areas.

    Good luck!

  3. I used to do it long time ago. I don't know if you would want to try it: After washing your hair, shake it throughly so you get the curls (you have to have your hair a little wet) than while you do that you add conditioner through your hair but you have to continuo shaking your hair so the curls don't go. The conditioner is suppose to dry in your hair thats how it forms the curls. That was an old way of getting my curls.

    EDIT:

Don't put to much conditioner on your palm, you are to put little amounts until all hair has condition but you have to continuo shaking your hair.

  4. armor all will hold a curl.

  5. Many African people manage this very easily. It may be too late for you, but marry African to save your offspring from this fate.

  6. Zilla, I have had the very same problem with my baby fine hair.  For years I kept it curly with extra Holding Dippity-do gel.

Now I find the best product is extra hold axle grease.  This not only keeps your head curly, it gives it bounce and shine.

Also handy for those pesty squeaky shopping cart wheels. :)

  7. I think some WD-40 should do the trick!

  8. Corn oil

  9. since this is asked in alternative fuel vehicles, I would suggest grabbing the positive and negative terminals of an electric car first thing in the morning.......

  10. In alternative fuel vehicles? I would suggest don't comb your hair and take your bike!
