and I hate being sick,

What's the best way to get rid of it?

There are no cure for virus's (the cold is a virus) you'll just have to ride it out I am afraid. Get plenty of rest, drink plenty of fluids, warm drinks will help soothe your throat. If your in any pain, take paracetamol. It will go soon enough
