Question:

What's the best way to get rid of a wasp's nest nestled in a hole in my lower roof?

I tired hardware store brand spray and it proved useless. The spray was for wasp and hornets, but the flying insects stayed put. Also I'm not 100% sure they are wasp. For sure, they are not bees. They are smaller and skinner than bees with a blackish with a tint of yellow on their body. Any ideas on how to solve this annoying problem?

  1. EXTERMINATOR

  2. Wear the thickest clothing possible, plus a helmet(motorcycle), grab a broom and knock that mother down

If you don't wanna do that I suggest getting a new spray. I'm surprised it didn't work. If they are not bees, than most likely you have a hornet of type of wasp. I use the "Raid" brand of Wasp and Hornet spray. This is very effective and immediately drops them. All you  have to do is spray the nest when its swarming with them. They'll go crazy, and most will drop down in pain, and some will fly off crazily

  3. You need to call an exterminator.  The problem is you have no idea how far the nest goes back and that could be problematic if you do not know what your doing.  But if you must insist on doing it yourself you need to get on protective clothing guarding your entire body.  Then use duct tape to tape off all entrances to the hole, only leaving a small hole to pump spray into the opening.  After spraying ,cover the last hole with more duct tape and wait at least an hour.  You should have killed them all and need to remove the nest so that the hive does not restart.  Hope this helps!
