What's the best way to get rid of ants?

I found them in my pantry so I need something that is safe to use around food.

A product called Terro, you put a drop of it on a piece of cardboard, it's thick like syrup, sit it in your pantry on a shelf near where you see the ants, they consume it and take it back to the nest to feed other ants, it might take up to a week but it works great.  I have found this at Wal-mart and most hardware type stores.
