The very best way, and also the quickest, is to find the source that

is causing them, by doing a complete wash throughout, especially the place you see them the most. I am sure you will find a rotting

piece of fruit, or an old tomato, or something, even if you think you

already checked. Please do a complete check/cleanup.

If you already know why they are coming, its time to throw the

fruit out!

I have also read you can put some vinegar in a jar and put some

waxed paper atop with some holes punched in, and they will fly

in, but can not fly out.

I still would advise you to do my first suggestion, as that is the

very best way indeed. I once had them all around the top of my

frig, and I swore that there was not any fruit/or anything old and

rotting up there, but decided to do a complete clean up one day

and..........to my surprise! What do you think I found? WAY...in

the back of everything was a somehow very small guava fruit in

its way past prime time state.....! And so ...ended my dilemma

My neighbor used a bowl of apple cider vinegar with a drop a dish soap.  She left it on the counter for about a week - she caught a whole bunch of the buggers and hasn't seen any since.
