  1. Just take a teaspoon of sugar and keep swallowing it. When you are all done you can take a drink of water. The action of swallowing the sugar gets rid of the hiccups everytime. Good Luck

  3. The sugar remedy is helpful to alot of people - I used to use that when I was a kid. But when I was in my teens I'd get hiccups for days on end.

    I came up with a way that combines the holding of breath with targeted relaxation and visualization. It sounds really silly, but it works for me and for everyone I've taught it to so far, so it's worth trying.

    Take a big deep breath and lock it down. Close your eyes and mentally start "telling" your stomach to relax. Visualize your stomach as clearly as you can, and visualize it releasing and letting go. Also "remind" your stomach that only one hiccup is necessary - the rest are not needed. Keep up this relaxation, visualization and affirmation until you need to release the breath. When you do release it, release it as slowly as you can out your mouth.

    9 times out of 10 your hiccups will be gone on the first time. Sometimes it takes a second go at it, but never more than 3.

  9. my mom used to make me do this (don't know if it really works haha) hold your breath, rub your stomach and pat your head and hop in a circle on one foot. sometimes it works cause it gets your mind off the hiccups.

    the way I ALWAYS use is to plug your ears and drink water. i have RELENTLESS hiccups so most of the time it works, but sometimes it doesn't.

  10. i usually just hold my breath, then i drink like a gulp of water

    and i do that in about 10 seconds 5 times:

    so like i hold my breath,

    then i take a normal sip of water,

    and hold your breath 10 sec. while doing that

    for five times

    Something that happens to me is that i get hiccups when I'm hungry or want to go to the bathroom. Which this happens since I was a baby. Find something that you do that gets rid of your hiccups

    i.e

    Lets say you have hiccups and then you have a candy and it goes away....then everytime you have hiccups eat a candy.
