Also, consider Half Price Books.  They will pay you a small sum and dispose of any books not worth something.

Check with your local yellow pages, there are usually used book stores in most cities that will take used books if they're not too damaged.  Or check out www.half ebay.com, you can usually sell books there.  What are you selling?
