What's the best way to get started in Aviculture?

I would love to get into Aviculture and I'm just wondering how most people start off?

What exactly do you mean by Aviculture? If you're just interested in getting a pet bird the first step is to decide how much interaction you're interested in and go from there.

Hi,

I started out with a double breeding cage on the side of a shed, with a few pairs of finches and then built an aviary. But for the novice then i recommend starting with finches as they are easy to breed and quiet compared to other birds.
