What's the best way to get to Gibraltar Spain from Los Angeles?

British Airways fly there from London Gatwick

or Monarch Airlines from London Luton (budget airline so cheaper).

As you cheapest way from LA to London may be through Heathrow, this may mean you have go from one airport to another. Alternatively if you can get into Malaga Airport in Spain then you could travel overland

e.g. bus or train to Gibraltar. You will find other airlines that do this route but these are the cheapest I know of

It's not part of Spain so check visa requirement, you should be fine though, as it may be classed on the same level as coming to the UK.

Fly via Madrid.

Direct flights Madrid to Gibraltar stated recently. If you can't find a convenient flight try a flight to Malaga and continue by road.

On a US passport you should be OK as a tourist but check with the airline.
