What's the best way to get to Hoboken, NJ from paterson?

I have to go to training for my job. I rather not drive because its hard to find parking and the train will be a mission because i would have to wake up too early. I don't which would be better and I've never taken the train before :(. Help plz

  2. I don't see the train as being all that difficult.  It's a straight run between Paterson and Hoboken--no need to change trains.  The question is whether the Paterson and Hoboken stations are convenient in terms of their locations.

    The train takes less than 40 minutes and costs less than $5 each way.  

    Think of it this way: by doing the train once, you'd at least know how it operates, which would be handy if you had need to use it again at a later date.
