right now i have verizon wireless broadband on my laptop, and they only allow me to download up to 5gb a month(it isn't that much) before they cut me down to dial-up access speed. the problem is that i have no home internet to connect to because i am hardly at home, so i need to find out the best option to obtain high speed internet on my laptop without any limits because 5gb goes by pretty fast for me. any suggestions?

  1. First you need to get another type of wireless access card, I recommend either a PCMCIA wifi card or a usb wifi card. Then try your public library, coffee houses, etc. for wireless access.

  2. This is only my opinion and I think we still live in a country were it is not a crime to have an opinion.  Advice to you...STAY AWAY FROM, HUGHESNET.COM. This is the worse company my family and I have ever gotten hooked up with. Our original dial-up was the same if not faster!

  3. Try to get DSL or cable to your home and is cheaper and would get at least 40GB per month some off them is more.

  4. Get a wifi adapter.  Everywhere I go, I can find an open WiFi router to tap into.

    Legal?  No!

    Moral? No!

    Works for me? Yes!

  5. open wifi access points.

  6. I feel your pain. I had gotten Sprint in February because they marketed an unlimited data plan. Now they are changing it to a 5GB plan as well.

Currently the only unlimited data plan being offered is by Alltel. With a recent acquisition by Verizon, I don't know how long this will last. The cool thing though is that if they change the plan on you, they are breaking the contract and you can cancel with an early termination fee.
