What's the best way to get your skin to clear up in a week (7 days)?

I want my skin to be spot-free and healthy-looking for when I go back to university in 7 days time.

Over the last 2 years, my skin has gone from gorgeous to oily and un-attractive. I live in the UK.

What do you recommend to clear up your skin? Exercise? Water? Sleep? Diet?

  1. Detoxify your liver, don't eat any junk. Artichoke extract, milk thistle, or Chinese bitters work great. Minimize fats and dairy from your diet. Drink plenty of water and detox tea.

    wash your face with a mixture of apple cider vinegar and water or a homemade oatmeal mask. Minimize your use of harsh, preservative-filled, talc & mica-based foundations. Find a natural mineral one instead.

    Often times acne comes from within. Sometimes it's a mere irritation from harsh topical products.

  2. Just wash with hot water every four hours or so,or you could try steaming your face,just get a towel put it over your head,put some hot water in the basin and put your head over the basin,worked for me,but were all different,hope it works for you.

  3. Lots of water, as much as you can drink a day.  Also try to avoid caffeine / sugar  

  4. all those rumors about eaying choclate or candy or fattening food will make you break out is ofcourse a RUMOR.

    drinking water revitalizes your skin which is always good

    all of the self proclaimed medcines at stores are wayy to harsh on skin making you body create more oil, hints more acne.

    so stick with dove, it leaves your face feeling soft and clean without the harsh dry effect.

    also, proactive doesnt work for alot of people.

    usual acne medicine thats over priced and not offered by a dermatologist doesnt work.

    there is a gentle face lotion i use called cetaphil

    my derma. gave it to me

    && dont wash your face a bazillion times a day, just twice

  7. Drink lots of water, eat lots of fruits, wash face with facial cleanser that has salicylic acid (Nuetrogena or Aveeno) and moisturize(Dove Cream Oil Lotion)... Keep hands off face.

  9. im not sure if this will make u totally spot free, but its bound to clear ur face up a bit. u hav to drink LOTS of water. the average human should drink about 8 cups, but most ppl dont, which is why they may breakout. and whoever said that certain foods like junk food dont cause u to breakout was wrong, cuz everyone is different. to be on the safe side, u should reduce ur junk food intake. oh, and as for sleep, u should make sure to clean ur sheets on a regular basis. i know it sounds a little weird, but that can be one of the causes. good luck! :-]

    Use a face-wash..someone suggested proactive...

    I personally use facial wipes, they make makeup removal really easy and it cleans your skin.

    ...and wear make up only when you *have* to.

    also eat healthy stuff - fruit/veggies/etc =P

  12. i don't know if this will work in 7 days cause i have no idea what the condition of your skin really is. but i would try cleaning your face with a cleanser and/or a baby lotion, try not to eat junk food (chocolate, greasy food) and drink water.

    when clean your face use warm water to open pores then apply a product. after rinse with cold water so the pores close and dirt won't be able to get inside. if you use baby lotion it'll help make your skin smooth and it's gentle enough to use anywhere. i think you can pick this up at a drug store. i don't know any stores in the UK so you may have to phone a few and find where you can get your hands on some.  

  13. Drink TONS of water-that always clears my face right up. And take womens multi vitamin. Also, proactive is awesome. You may be able to have it shipped over night. I mean the stuff works WONDERS. Never met anyone who didnt' like it.

  14. Milk Thistle. 2 pills in the AM with food. 2 in the PM with food.

    Drink plenty of water.

    It's cheap at Walmart. Like $5 for a bottle.

    You won't believe how well it works...

  15. 1. buy a facial scrub. clearasil facial scrub is the best. it's $6.99. use it every morning, middle of the day, and before bed.

    2. use proactiv refining mask, it dries out everything.

    3. use aloe lotion to make your skin healthy looking and moisturized.

    4. get 8 to 10 hours of sleep a night an drink a lot of water.

  16. clay masks every week.exfoliate daily at night.sleep with hair pulled out of face.do not dry by rubbing,bloat face.drinks tons of water,no alchol,coffee,tea or soda.of course sleep.do not over wash or over apply astringent lotions during the day.your skin will fight back by producing more oil.wash your hair for at least a month with triatop shampoo.only at drugstore.but when shampooing with it let work at least 15 minutes on hair.thus shampoo,leave on and get out of shower.15 minutes of waisting water are too many
