  1. Mimosa Pudica Plants are frost-tender plants...keep them away from frosts.

"Cool temperatures will prevent your sensitive plant or Mimosa pudica from starting to grow leaves. Put them in a room with temperatures between 70° and 85° Fahrenheit. If temperatures are kept between 70° and 85° Fahrenheit, young Mimosa pudica can sprout in less than 7 days. However, if temperatures are lower, it may take 21 to 30 days for Mimosa pudica to sprout. Once the seeds have germinated, those seedlings that look the least strong and healthy should be discarded. The remaining seedlings may be transplanted to other pots or trays when they are large enough to handle. Finally, the plants should be transplanted to pots of standard soil-based potting mixture once they are well established. The plant may appear alarmingly droopy when first repotted, but it should recover quickly.

Mimosa Pudica Plants like a warm sunny position and a relatively humid atmosphere... Keep a mister close by and mist it with tepid water occasionally, & keep it in a warm room in the house.

" Use a soil mix consisting of 2 parts peat moss to 2 parts sand and one part perlite. The soil should be kept evenly moist but not saturated. During the growing season, the plants are fertilized on a weekly basis with a balanced fertilizer diluted to 1/2 the strength recommended on the label. During the Winter months, fertilize on a monthly basis and water sparingly.

This plant requires a medium light exposure, an evenly moist soil, and temperatures between 60-85°F. The plant dislikes root disturbance. Mimosa is sensitive to over watering. Winter temperatures should not fall below 60°F; if they do get chilled, then the plant suffers with yellowing of leaves and stems."

They  prefer full sun and moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Water well during the growing period, and sparingly in winter. To prevent fungal problems, do not over water or allow to dry out and provide good drainage and bright light.
