I hate having garage sales b/c people are always trying to talk you down. I know it's the name of the game with garage sales but I mark what I want for the item and if they don't want to pay that then that's fine. What is a good way to have a no haggle or low haggle garage sale, can I put a sign that says prices are firm?

  1. put a no haggle sign in the yard and if they haggle you then tell them take it or leave it. But if the prices are too high to start then you may not have any bussiness. I would not put up with that either. Ive been to garage sales with the no haggle sign in the yard at every table and at the check out table. So thats a good reminder for them that they in no way could haggle u for the price.

  2. 1. start prices low and put up a sign: all prices final. or you could try humor with a sign: all prices have been pre-haggled for your convenience

    2. in a two-day sale, put up a sign saying 2nd day is 50% off. if they start to haggle on the first day, tell them to come back tom'w. if they haggle on the second day, ask them why they are bargaining when they already have a 50% discount

    3. put up a sign saying you are donating 25% of the proceeds to a charity. if people start to haggle, imply that they are being selfish

  3. LOL, I saw a sign in a store last week:

"If you want to haggle over price, please let us know in advance so that we can raise the price enough to give you a discount."
