I want to get into skateboarding, but I can't do an ollie. What is the best (and least painful) way to learn how? I've heard holding onto a railing, working in the grass, or taking the trucks off and just using a deck. Any ideas?

  1. pop the board down then slide your other foot up then jump and lift up your foot that poped the board and land

  2. when you pop it slide your foot forward when you are moving lean forward to not shoot out

  3. You can get these things that s***w on like trucks but they are like hard plastic long ovals that really help get your ollies down.  It wont roll away if you do it wrong, but it will lift and drag like it does when you don't land an ollie so you know you wouldn't have if you had trucks on.  Other than that, just try indoors with wheels or anything or you wont be able to make the transfer from no trucks or grass to moving and pavement.  Good Luck.

  4. Skateboarding is always going to have something painful. I mean thats how you become better. But i just do tricks in my room and keep doing it til it becomes perfect and go to the streets with it. or just ask other skaters they will help.
