  1. You can drop the weight a lot safer if you purchase a book on high protein, low carb diets. The men on my program lose an average of 15 lbs per month. This is with plenty of lean protein, complex carbs, veggies, fruit and water. The book will help you make the right choices. The only exercise you need, to begin with, is some light cardio ( walking ) for 30 minutes 3 or 4 times a week. Keep a food journal to track your progress.

  2. Cardio for 60 min or more, weight training for an hour; gym 5x a wk. also drink 2 gallons of water a day and eat light meals

  3. go  wheat  free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7

p.m.  People  achieve  marvellous  results  with it. Depending on your

initial  weight,  you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat  wheat  then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't  eat  junk  food,  and  you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is

still  balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans.

  4. Ask your doctor for a low cholesterol, low triglyceride diet sheet and follow it, pair this diet with walking or other moderate exercise.

I had a family member who tried to lose weight for 35 years without lasting success, until the doctor put down the diet and they started to lose the fat -- not quickly, not dramatically, some weeks not a noticeable amount -- but a year later much smaller, much happier, much more active because they felt better.

You do have to exercise some, and you do have to stay on the diet forever or the weight starts coming back.  But, it's a livable diet with normal foods, not something weird, so you can certainly do it!

  5. The only way to lose weight is to burn more calories than you eat.  Junk food and processed foods are calorie-dense, meaning you can eat a lot of calories without knowing it.  Veggies, fruits and beans are lo-cal, and fill you up.

Eat foods that are close to their natural state.  That means salads, chicken breast, veggie soup, etc., NOT Cheetos.  And don't load up your salads with cheese and greasy dressings.

Finally, exercise.  You have to perspire to burn calories.  Walking is a great place to start, and actually, it's my favorite form of exercise.  Good luck!

  6. How old are you? Why do you want to rule out the safest possible way?

Controlled diet and regular work out. There is no other alternate. Phentermine, hoodia, all damage your body.

  7. The best advice I can give anyone is to NOT crash diet.

If you crash diet you lose weight quickly but you also gain it back twice as quick.

Change your diet, you know what you should and should not eat.  Exercise more.  You have to burn off more calories than you eat.  Its as simple as that.

Remember - don't starve yourself.  That will work but only for as long as you are not eating.

It took me a month to lose 7 pounds just by eating better but I will be able to keep it off as I have changed my eating habits for life, not just to drop the weight.  Good Luck x*x
