  1. Kracker knows how....

  2. Heres the recipe for quick gravy from my cook book. I changed it for your chicken gravy but you can make it with any flavor you like.

    “On the Fly” Chicken Gravy

    David Herzog

    1 qt. water

½ c. chicken base (commercial chicken bouillon) 8 to 10 bouillon cubes

    ½ c. heavy whipping cream

    ½ c. butter

    ½ c. flour

In a 10” Dutch oven, over high heat, bring the water and

beef base to a boil. While the water is boiling, melt the butter in a

skillet over medium heat. Add the flour to the melted butter and

stir well until smooth. Set aside after cooking for 2 minutes. To the

boiling water mixture, add the cream then the flour mixture to

    thicken.

Makes a little more than 1 quart, enough for 6 to 8 servings.

  3. I've found that the jars (I think they're Heinz) are just as good as homemade:)  and alot easier

  4. Make a roux with the pan drippings, add chicken stock or half & half.  Salt & pepper to taste.
