What's the best way to motivate your staff?

I read about Mcgregors theory X and Y and thought it was very interesting.

Exactly how do you think is the best way to motivate staff?

You do put it into practice before you teach that to others. Then only, they would follow you. There is no other way out.

I know of a personalized book that builds self esteem and self confidence.  I know a lot of people who have bought these books for their staff. There is also a book called Powerful Attitudes that has been purchased by some , that I am aware of, that is a big help in encouraging people to be the best they can be in every area of their lives.  It is the greatest book of this sort I have ever read and I have read a few...Reasons for people to be the best they can is great information, with examples of real life situation...Gets to the core of issues which derives from self image issues....GREAT Books !!!
